Migration of Tribals from Jharkhand

According to the definition given by UNESCO, migration is movement of people from one place to another temporarily or permanently for a host of voluntary and/or in voluntary reasons. It is the crossing of the boundary of a political or administrative unit for a certain minimum period of time.It includes the movement of refugees, displaced persons, uprooted as well as economic migrants. Internal migrants refers to a move from one area to another within one country. International migration is a territorial relocation of people between nation - states (UNESCO). Migration or mobility of people to day is a regular feature of humanity and a civilization and indicator of advancement in economically, backward people and communities. Migration among the tribals of Jharkhand is not the modern development but the situation was thrust upon the people by the shrewd and cunning tactics of the dominant and powerful group of people here long the history of Jharkhand was written. Setting up of Nag Dynasty in Chotanagpur

Anthropologist, political scientist and historians are all equally interested in the study of the Nag dynasty of Chotanagpur.
